How To Get Your Website To Soar

by Steven Hourston on December 13, 2012

Thank you to everyone who attended the webinar hosted by Ann and Steven. I’m particularly grateful to those of you who submitted your websites for feedback.

On this page you’ll find a copy of the webinar.

I’ve also added a bonus video called “Why Don’t They Convert?

You simply must watch this video because it shows you some amazing tools that will help you to understand your visitors behaviour. One of them can actually record the mouse movements of visitors to your website. Visitors often use their mouse like a “finger” pointing at what they’re looking at on the webpage, so you can see what attracts their attention and what they ignore – it’s fascinating.

Here are the links I mentioned in the webinar.

I just wanted to say thank you for a great webinar. I loved how you kept it simple and straightforward. I learnt a lot from you.
Thank you for your feedback on my website. I do appreciate the input – you gave incredible value and shared great examples.

Thanks Linda, I really enjoyed doing it and I’m slightly obsessed with keeping things as simple as possible, so it’s good to hear I succeeded.
Thanks for sharing your website – every review helps others and it was good to have some great examples to share.

Great advice. You helped us focus on our on-going discussion here about what we want to do and what we don’t want to do about our website. You got us talking about our “ideal client” rather than just any client. Now we are going to chew this over and what that means for our website.

Steven Hourston December 17, 2012 at 4:14 pm

Thanks Ken. You’re absolutely right to think about your “ideal clients” – that way your website will connect with your most valuable visitors. Too many websites are not focused enough and because of that any enquiries they generate are often of low value. It’s much better to have fewer high quality enquiries that lots of low value ones.
I hope you’re deliberations go well. This post may help:
